It includes all of the features of our ‘Standard’ service, plus additionally: Servicing hubs including replacement of bearings/pawls etc. Servicing headset. Service/replace bottom bracket as required. Diagnostics/update of firmware for electronic gear shift systems. Replacement of brake fluid. Replacement of gear cables if required. Regular servicing such as this is a great way to reduce your overall cycling expenditure. Includes: Waterless wash of main frame, fork and wheels. The Bike Tailor ‘Interim Service’ is designed as a top-up to our more in-depth servicing, suitable for making sure your bike is ready for an event such as a sportive, or if your bike has been left for a while. Includes: Waterless wash of main frame, fork, and wheels. Checking main components for any obvious damage or wear. Lubrication of chain. Nut and bolt check, to ensure correct torque of all fastenings. Fine-tuning of gear and brake setup. Inflating tyres, top-up sealant if required. * Excludes the cost of parts and consumables. * We ask that bikes arrive for service in at least a reasonably clean condition for servicing. Excessively dirty bikes may require an additional discretionary charge for cleaning.

The Bike Tailor ‘Ultimate Service’ is our no-holds-barred service package. Recommended for cyclists looking to thoroughly refresh their bike and have it return in better-than-new condition. We are able to offer any level of restoration and repair within this package, including not just replacement parts but near-unlimited customisation as well. We can include repairs and re-sprays on nearly all types of frame, replacement decals for wheels and other components, suspension fork and rear shock overhauls, and much, much more. Just ask!

If you have been unfortunate enough to have damage to your bike which requires an insurance claim we offer a comprehensive service to provide an inspection and quotation for repair direct to your insurer. We will thoroughly inspect your bike for signs of damage and produce for you a detailed report, alongside a formal quotation for repair. For carbon fibre components including wheel rims and frames, we also work with the UK's leading carbon repair specialist to offer X-Ray inspection of delicate lightweight components which can often have invisible damage following an impact. If you nominate us to deal with your claim on your behalf we can even take the leg work out of dealing with them and save you time as well.

Whether its SRAM eTap, Shimano Di2, Campagnolo EPS, or another system, we offer expert diagnosis, adjustment and repair of all electronic shifting issues. Most new performance bikes will come with an electronic drivetrain, meaning that the shifting is taken care of by small motors in the derailleurs which is controlled by a button on the handlebars. These systems are a revelation in performance and reliability compared to cable-operated systems, but they have their own share of technical challenges. We offer comprehensive installation, diagnostics, and repair service for all makes and models of electronic drivetrain, including Shimano Di2, Sram eTap (inc. ASX), Campagnolo EPS, and more. As these jobs can often be complex and vary in time from bike to bike, these services are carried out at the hourly rate of £80 p.h.

You’ve taken delivery of your dream bike, but the assembly process is too complicated or time consuming. Maybe you just want to be certain that your bike is set up correctly for you. We offer a service to assemble your new bike and get you out there as quickly and safely as possible. We also remove the shipping grease from your chain and lubricate with a high quality wax. This includes a follow-up check within 4 weeks (if required) to pick up and resolve issues such as cable stretch or manufacturing defect. Tubeless systems are great, there’s little to doubt the performance advantages of a properly functioning tubeless setup. However, they’re definitely more complicated than a tubed setup and can require a little more love to get going and keep on top of. We offer all aspects of tubeless tyre setup and repair at our standard rate of £80 per hour. If you're new to tubeless, we will also happily guide you in what to carry or how to resolve emergency trail/roadside issues.
