Air Can Service – Rear Shock Suspension
An Air Can Service is essential maintenance for rear air shocks, ensuring smooth performance, consistent suspension feel, and extended component life. Over time, seals, O-rings, and internal lubrication degrade, leading to reduced efficiency, air leaks, or a harsh ride. This service restores the shock to optimal condition. What’s Included Inspection & Cleaning – Remove the shock from the bike, clean the exterior, and check for damage or wear. Air Can Removal – Safely release air pressure and remove the air can from the shock body. Seal & O-Ring Replacement – Install new manufacturer-approved seals and O-rings to prevent leaks. Lubrication – Apply fresh suspension-specific grease and oil for smooth operation. Reassembly & Testing – Refit the air can, pressurize to rider settings, and test for performance and leaks. Recommended Service Interval Every 50–100 riding hours or every 6 months, depending on riding conditions. More frequent service is advised for wet, dusty, or muddy environments. Benefits Restores smooth, responsive suspension feel. Prevents costly damage from worn seals or contamination. Improves ride comfort and control.
