I’m a chartered engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I’ve worked for 20 years in the car industry in engine design and development for companies like Cosworth, Ford, GM and Vauxhall/Opel. I’ve been a keen mountain-biker since I moved to North Yorkshire 17 years ago and have always done all my own bike maintenance. I gained an IMI Level 3 Course in Cycle Mechanics with The Bike Inn in Appleby in Summer, 2021. I am also accredited by both Shimano and Bosch, have Shimano and Bosch diagnostic tools and am able to supply genuine Shimano, Bosch, Sram and Campagnolo parts for bikes and e-Bikes. I do repairs, regular maintenance, bike set-ups (if you want to buy your bike online) and bike upgrades. I’m also very happy to just repair a puncture on all types of bike. I work in a shop in Helmsley and have a modern workshop equipped with the top quality tools for working on bikes of all kinds.
