Service Packages

The Basic Service is for those riders that use their bike time to time or have a have a simple city bike that needs a check.

It includes a full safety check, inspection and adjustment of brakes, gears, frame, forks, handlebars & headset, chain lubricated, tyres check for damage and inflated to the correct pressure and all bolts checked and tightened.

It does not include the cost of replacing parts, nor any parts.

Electric Bikes will incur a £30 extra charge.

If other procedures are needed you can add them on as extras, or choose a service package that includes the procedure.

Sometimes during a service extra parts are needed due to components being worn, rusty or broken (e.g. brake pads). In order to keep the flow in our workshop, any necessary parts up to £20 will be fitted without asking. Anything more than £20 and we will be in touch to ask before fitting anything extra. Please let us know if you would like us to communicate with you differently.

Pro Service

Inspect frame for damage/wear including dropouts, main tubes, seat clamp area, bottle cage and accessory mounting points

Inspect / adjust suspension linkages (if required)

Inspect fork for damage/wear including dropouts, main tubes, crown, steerer tube and accessory mounting points

Suspension forks, clean/inspect seals and upper tubes. Check for function

Inspect headset for wear/corrosion, adjust

Inspect stem for wear, check/adjust torque, straight

Inspect handlebar for wear/damage, check torque

Inspect handlebar tape/grips for wear/damage

Inspect/adjust hub bearings for wear/damage, ensure smooth movement/no play

Inspect spokes and rim for wear/damage

Inspect spoke tension and true lateral/radial as appropriate

Inspect tyres for condition and wear

Inspect tubeless system, top-up or replace consumables as appropriate

Inspect condition of lever, including main body, blades and position. Adjust if required. 

Inspect condition of hose/cable

Inspect condition of brake pads

Inspect caliper for correct function including clean/lube pistons

Inspect condition of hydraulic fluid if applicable

Inspect brake rotor for wear/damage/torque

Adjust brake, ensure correct function including no rub and appropriate bite-point

Clean and inspect bottom bracket shell threads if appropriate

Inspect bottom bracket torque, ensure free rotation of bearings

Inspect chain rings/crank arms/spindle for wear/damage

Install crankset, ensure smooth running/no play

Inspect pedal body for wear/damage

Ensure smooth rotation of pedal bearings and check for play

Inspect and regrease pedal/crankarm threads

Inspect cassette for wear/damage and torque

Inspect chain for wear/damage lubricate

Ensure derailleur hanger is straight and secure

Inspect rear derailleur cable/electronic wire for wear/damage

Inspect rear derailleur for wear/damage

Set rear derailleur upper/lower limits and b-tension

Adjust rear derailleur indexing

Inspect front derailleur for wear/damage

Set front derailleur position/height

Set front derailleur upper/lower limits

Adjust front derailleur indexing

Update electronic drivetrain firmware

Charge/replace electronic drivetrain batteries

Clean and inspect seat post and clamp. Grease/fibre grip as appropriate

Clean and insect saddle rails/clamps. Adjust position if needed

Check saddle for wear/damage

Ensure any accessories are safe/secure

The Pro Service is for those riders that use their bike hard and regularly or that have not serviced their bike for a while.

A complete strip down and rebuild. Every component removed, inspected, re-assembled and fine tuned.

Electric Bikes will incur a £30 extra charge.

Sometimes during a service extra parts are needed due to components being worn, rusty or broken (e.g. brake pads). In order to keep the flow in our workshop, any necessary parts up to £40 will be fitted without asking. Anything more than £40 and we will be in touch to ask before fitting anything extra. Please let us know if you would like us to communicate with you differently.
