general check and inspection of bike to ensure bike is safe to ride perhaps after having not been used for a while. minor adjustments only carried out, no cleaning involved. chain lubricated and tyres inflated. 

Kids Bike Safety Check

Inspect fork for damage/wear including dropouts, main tubes, crown, steerer tube and accessory mounting points

Inspect headset for wear/corrosion, adjust

Handlebar/Headset/Stem

Inspect handlebar for wear/damage, check torque

Inspect/adjust hub bearings for wear/damage, ensure smooth movement/no play

Wheels/Tyres

Inspect spoke tension and true lateral/radial as appropriate

Inspect brake rotor for wear/damage/torque

Inspect chain rings/crank arms/spindle for wear/damage

Inspect bottom bracket torque, ensure free rotation of bearings

Install crankset, ensure smooth running/no play

Inspect cassette for wear/damage and torque

Inspect rear derailleur for wear/damage

Adjust rear derailleur indexing

Adjust front derailleur indexing

Inspect frame for damage/wear including dropouts, main tubes, seat clamp area, bottle cage and accessory mounting points

Gears inspected and adjusted, any worn parts replaced as required. derailleur hanger alignment checked and adjusted. Cost of any parts required not included. 

Gear Service

Update electronic drivetrain firmware

Charge/replace electronic drivetrain batteries

Set rear derailleur upper/lower limits and b-tension

Set front derailleur upper/lower limits

Ensure derailleur hanger is straight and secure

Set front derailleur position/height

Bike wash a comprehensive clean of frame fork and wheels removing all dirt and grime. no adjustments or other servicing work will be carried out. additional charges will apply for any adjustments. 

Bike wash

A premium service is recommended every 18-24 Months.
This is a full strip and rebuild! The whole bike is stripped down to the frame, and built back up. This includes everything in the other service levels, plus hubs and headset stripped/cleaned/regreased and bearings replaced if necessary, new gear cables if applicable, brakes bled if applicable etc. The cost starts at £250, but does vary depending on the model of bike - modern aero road bikes with integrated everything do take longer to service! Parts not included

Strip and Rebuild

Clean and inspect seat post and clamp. Grease/fibre grip as appropriate

Saddle

Clean and insect saddle rails/clamps. Adjust position if needed

Check saddle for wear/damage

Ensure any accessories are safe/secure

Accessories

Inspect tubeless system, top-up or replace consumables as appropriate

Inspect condition of hose/cable

Inspect caliper for correct function including clean/lube pistons

Clean and inspect bottom bracket shell threads if appropriate

Inspect and regrease pedal/crankarm threads

Suspension forks, clean/inspect seals and upper tubes. Check for function

Inspect condition of lever, including main body, blades and position. Adjust if required. 

Inspect condition of hydraulic fluid if applicable

Ensure smooth rotation of pedal bearings and check for play

hub bearings serviced.

Drivetrain clean and degrease

Hydraulic Brake Bleed

A comprehensive service is recommended every 12 Month.
As tune up + sparkle, plus: Drivetrain removed, degreased, cleaned & reinstalled, Bottom bracket and headset bearings serviced, removed, cleaned and greased. Replacement parts installed if necessary (cost of parts not included in service), wheels inspected & trued if required. Cost may increase for more complex/integrated setups, please call for details.

Full service

A basic service is recommended every 6-12 Months.
Gears inspected, tested & Tuned; Brakes Inspected & Pads replaced if required; Cranks & Chainrings checked & torqued; Headset, Bars, Stem & Seatpost checked & torqued, tyres inspected for wear. wheels trued. frame, fork and wheels given a basic clean. parts replaced if required, cost of parts not included.
