Concierge Service

The platinum service is our ultimate service for your premium road or off road bike. Your bike will be completely stripped to the frame and forks. The frame and forks will be checked for issues, degreased and cleaned. All components will be degreased, cleaned and relubricated. All interior cables will be replaced (outers if required) All sealed bearings* will be replaced - including hubs, bottom bracket** and headset. Brake pads will be replaced with Elvedes high quality pads Hydraulic brakes will be bled front and rear. Elite Service

The GC Bike Repairs Gold Service includes all the elements of our bronze service (details) and silver service (details) but takes them to an extreme. Your bike will be completely stripped to the frame and forks. The frame and forks will be checked for issues, degreased and cleaned. All components will be degreased, cleaned and relubricated. All interior cables will be replaced (outers if required) All bearing surfaces will be stripped, cleaned and regreased (or lubricated) as required. The bike will be fully rebuilt and all elements will be refitted, adjusted and checked for accurate function. If any parts additional to the service are required we will contact you to get approval prior to fitting. Once all check and adjustments are complete a full safety check and road test will be completed to ensure everything is working well.

Advanced Service

The GC Bike Repairs SIlver Service is a more in depth service than our bronze service (details here) but follows the same stringent checks and adjustments. In addition to the general check over and maintenance of our bronze service we will also grease cables, grease headset bearings and adjust bottom brackets. Wheel and tyres are trued and running smoothly - wheels will be trued on a wheel jig as required. All bike nuts and bolts are tightened to manufacturers tolerances. Brakes will be adjusted to optimum performance - cables will be greased. Gear will be adjusted to index correctly - cables will be greased and cables end caps replaced if missing. Chain and freewheel will be checked for wear and run through a chain bath degrease and re-lubed. If any parts additional to the service are required we will contact you to get approval prior to fitting. Once all check and adjustmens are complete a full safety check and road test will be completed to ensure everything is working well.

FREE Safety Check

Our comprehensive FREE bike check will provide you with a detailed report explaining exactly what repairs your bike needs to get it in tip top condition. There's no obligation to repair everything at once but we will advise you which elements are required for a safe ride. A full quote will be provided prior to any work commencing, then it's up to you.

Core Service

The GC Bike Repairs Bronze service is our pit stop service for regular cyclists who like to keep their bike in running condition. After an initial assessment we will work thoroughly through the bike and perform the following checks: Wheel and tyres are trued and running smoothly All bike nuts and bolts are tightened to manufacturers tolerances. Brakes will be adjusted to optimum performance. Gears will be adjusted to index correctly Chain and freewheel will be checked for wear. If any parts additional to the service are required we will contact you to get approval prior to fitting. Once all check and adjustments are complete a full safety check and road test will be completed to ensure everything is working well.

Service - Suspension (Forks)

Cassette Replacement & Fit

Old cassette removed and freehub cleaned and lubes to manufacturers spec. New cassette fitted and tightened to torque settings.

Chain Replacement & Fit

Old chain removed and new chain fitted, ensure gears are correct and chain is long enough for all gears. (Please note changing a chain often means the freewheel and cassette need replacing as they wear at the same rate)

Bearing Replacement - Loose Bearings

Your components will be removed, all bearing surfaces cleaned and new bearings installed with our proprietory grease.

Bearing Replacement - Sealed Bearings

Your components will be removed, all bearing surfaces cleaned and new bearings installed with our proprietory grease.

Hubs Adjusted for Play

Your components will be removed, all bearing surfaces cleaned and new bearings installed with our proprietary grease.

Wheel Build - Single

Brake Lever Fit (per lever)

Removal of existing grips, gear levers and brake lever. Replace lever and change brake cable/hose to new lever.

Hydraulic Brake Bleed

If your hydraulic brakes are not working correctly or are sticky, a brake bleed may be required. Removal of all existing fluid, new fluid, check of all cables and replace if required. New fluid flushed through and all bleed screws tightened to correct tolerance. Price per brake

Brakes Adjusted & Tested

Old cables will be removed, all brakes checked and lubricated for efficiency, New inner or inner& outer cables will be fitted as required. (Cable cost not incuded)

External Brake or Gear Cable Fit

Old cables will be removed, all brakes checked and lubricated for efficiency, New inner or inner& outer cables will be fitted as required. (Cable cost not incuded)

Replace Disc Brake Pads

Removal of existing pads, cleaning of caliper and replacing blocks. Fully adjustment of caliper to ensure silent running and efficient brake use.

Internal Gear Cable Fit

Removal of existing cable, lubrication of levers and mechs. Replace with new cable either interior only or exterior & interior depending on wear. (Cable extra)

External Gear Cable Fit

Removal of existing cable, lubrication of levers and mechs. Replace with new cable either interior only or exterior & interior depending on wear. (Cable extra)

Derailleur Hanger Straightened

Remove rear mech and check accuracy of hanger. Straighten or replace (additional cost).

Drivetrain Service - Items Cleaned, Inspected, Adjusted and Checked

A more thorough clean of the drivechain, all components are removed from the bike and cleaned in our degreasing tank to get a spotless finish.

Fork Steerer Cut

Handlebar Tape Fit

We'll fit your products if they're purchased instore or online. We're happy to help. We'll remove your old tape and install new tape, fitted correctly around your levers and finished cleanly at the top of the bars.

Headset Fit

Puncture Repair Including Inner Tube & Slime

Remove existing tube, check tyre for nail etc. Replace tube with new replacement. Pump tyre to correct pressure adjust brake to ensure wheel not rubbing.

Fit Tubeless Tyre (per wheel)

For tubeless rims and tyres only - Remove existing tube, install tubless tape to specification. Install sealant and inflate to required pressure. Cost per wheel

Fit Tubular Tyre
