I’m Shady – born in Morocco, based in Berlin, and have been working as a bike mechanic for a while now across some of the city’s best shops. I specialize in building and repairing high-end bicycles (as can be seen in the photos on the website and much more). The idea behind Extinct Cycles comes from something I grew up watching back home: craftsmen who had taken their trade so seriously it became their identity. The kind of care and precision that comes not from obligation but from not wanting to get it wrong. That standard is rare and going extinct in this industry. Hence the name. I hope you get to experience that firsthand with me.
