FREE CHECK-UP

Seat Post Check: we ensure the seat post and frame are not dry, grease or fiber grip is included in the service. We also inspect the clamp to ensure it's not worn out; if it is, a new seat post is recommended for security. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Front Hub Bearings Check: we inspect that your wheel spins smoothly by inspecting & adjusting the bearings inside the front wheel hub, making sure there's no wobbling or rough movement caused by wear or damage. Adjustment is included in our service, while replacement is covered by our Tour de France service. Parts are extra.

Front Rim Check: we ensure there are no dents, it's not worn out, and the connection points are still strong and secure. If any issues are found, the wheel need to be replaced or rebuilt. This service is included unless wheel building is required. Parts are extra.

Front Spoke & Nipples Check: we examine the tension of the spokes and confirm the wheel's alignment both sideways & radially to ensure it spins straight. If adjustments (wheel truing) or wheel replacement are needed, labour is included. Parts are extra.

Front Tyre Check: we examine the tyre for signs of wear & tear. Worn-out tyres are more prone to punctures & provide less grip. We also check for signs of perishing, dry sidewalls, and splitting. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Front Inner Tube Check: we inspect the inner tube, which holds the air in the tyre chamber. If it's perished, it won't inflate properly and the tyre will wear out quicker. Included in any service except for puncture repair only. Parts are extra.

Rear Inner Tube Check: we inspect the inner tube, which holds the air in the tyre chamber. If it's perished, it won't inflate properly and the tyre will wear out quicker. Included in any service except for puncture repair only. Parts are extra.

Cassette Check: we inspect the cassette teeth for wear & ensure it is clean to prevent further deterioration. If the chain is fully stretched, the cassette must be replaced. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Chain Check: we measure the chain's stretch & ensure it is clean and rust-free. If the chain is not worn out but is corroded and dry, it should be replaced. We can lubricate it, but smooth shifting cannot be guaranteed. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Lever Check: we inspect the lever for any damage and ensure it functions properly, as it is crucial for the brakes. If the lever is too loose or damaged, it will be replaced. Labour is included in all services; parts are extra.

Hose & Cable Check: we examine the hoses and cables for kinks, bends, or broken outer casings. Cables should be replaced annually for safety due to corrosion. Inner cable parts and labour are included in the La Vuelta & Tour de France services.

Bike Frame Check: we inspect the bike frame for any damage or wear, especially around the dropouts, main tubes, seat clamp area. If any of these areas are damaged, the bike is a write-off and no service can be performed for insurance & safety reasons.

Headset Check: the headset, crucial for controlling the bike, connects the handlebars to the frame's head tube, ensuring stability and safety during rides. We inspect for wear or corrosion. Adjustments are included to ensure smooth steering. Any replacement necessitates an extra labour charge unless part of the Tour de France service. Parts are extra.

Stem Check: this is about looking at the component that holds the handlebars in place. We check for wear, ensure it's tightened properly (torque), and make sure it's aligned straight for comfortable handling. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Handlebar Check: we look over the handlebar itself for any wear or damage. Also, we make sure it's securely attached to the bike frame with the correct tightness. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Handlebar Grip & Tape Check: we inspect signs of wear or damage such as ripping, stickiness, perishing, or coming off, especially if it lacks bar ends for health and safety. If it's worn out, replacement is necessary. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Seat Clamp Check: we ensure the seat clamp is the correct size and securely fastened with bolts/clamps. If it's not holding together safely, we recommend replacing the seat clamp. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Brake Pads Check: we check that brake pads are not worn out, as they typically have a wear indicator. Replacing them before they are completely worn out is essential for safety, ensuring you can stop your bike effectively. Labour for fitting & calibrating is included in the service; parts are extra.

Caliper Check: we ensure the caliper, which holds the brake pads, is functioning correctly. Even with new brake pads, a malfunctioning caliper means the bike cannot stop. We clean and lubricate the pistons and check for proper operation. Labour for fitting & calibrating is included; parts are extra.

Hydraulic Brake Check: for newer bikes with hydraulic brakes, we check that the lever engages properly, there is no air in the system, and the fluid level is correct. Labour is extra for this.

It must be in good condition and meet the manufacturer's minimum thickness specifications for safety. We also check for signs of oil or burns. If the rotor is too thin, contaminated with oil, or burnt, it will need to be replaced. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Bottom Bracket Check: we ensure the bottom bracket, which connects the bike to the pedals and cranks, spins freely, has intact bearings, and exhibits no play. Labour is included only in the Tour de France Service; parts are extra.

Chain rings/Crank Arms/Spindle Check: to performed properly, you want them to be clean and not worn out, or bent as it’s all connected with your chain, cassette and chainrings. Labour is included; parts are extra. 

Pedal Check: we inspect the pedals for wear or damage, ensure the pedal bearings rotate smoothly, and check for any play. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Derailleur Hanger Check: we examine the derailleur hanger, which connects the frame to the derailleur. This part is designed to break to protect the frame. If it is bent, gears won't shift properly and it may snap, causing an accident. Replacement is necessary if bent. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Derailleur Cable Check: we inspect the derailleur cable for damage, ensuring the outer casing is not kinked, damaged, or too rigid. Inner cables are included in the service La Vuelta and Tour de France; outers are extra.

Rear Derailleur Check: we ensure the rear derailleur is clean, moves freely, and that the screw limits are properly indexed. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Front Derailleur Check: we ensure the front derailleur is clean, moves freely, and that the screw limits are properly indexed. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Left Hand Shifter Check: we ensure it is not damaged or broken and that it pulls the cables correctly (if not electronic). If it is not working, replacement is necessary. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Right Hand Shifter Check: we ensure it is not damaged or broken and that it pulls the cables correctly (if not electronic). If it is not working, replacement is necessary. Labour is included; parts are extra.

Accessories Check: we ensure all accessories are safely attached. Labour included; parts are extra.
