Closing Bikebook's Mechanic of the Year Award 2024
Wow, what a journey!
Ryan Elson
The first-ever bikebook Mechanic of the Year Award has wrapped up, and we're excited to say it was a huge hit. For the last month, from August 12th to September 10th, bike riders all over the
UK voted to honour the amazing skills and commitment of their local bike mechanics and bike repair shops.
The turnout blew us away, we got nearly four hundred votes, and 36 different mechanics were nominated showing how much cyclists value their go-to mechanics. It's obvious that the biking world knows how crucial these experts are in keeping everyone pedalling.
"The response to our campaign has amazed us," the bikebook team reports. "It has shown off the great skills in our field and brought our cycling community closer together."
Now, we're ready to reveal that Rob from SymesBikes in Portsmouth is the winner of the bikebook Mechanic of the Year 2024 who received 101 nominations from his customers.
Rob will get a 6-month Workshop subscription, which will help the business grow.
But the fun doesn't end there!
We're thrilled to share that Hannah O'Brien won our cyclist raffle walking away with a £150 voucher for a bike service at a mechanic of her choice.
We thank everyone who took part - the mechanics who worked hard to keep us riding, and the cyclists who made time to show their appreciation.
Stay tuned to bikebook for more exciting news and updates and remember - whether you need a quick repair or a full service, your local mechanic is just a click away!
