Why bikebook? Solving the "Hidden" Problem in Cycling

When people think of "cycling tech," they usually think of carbon frames or GPS computers. But at bikebook, we focused on the backbone of the industry: the workshop.

For too long, the process of getting a bike serviced was stuck in the past. Cyclists struggled to find transparent pricing, and mechanics were buried under administrative weight.

“We first launched as a free platform to connect cyclists with workshops,” says the team. “But we quickly saw a deeper issue. Mechanics were losing hours to phone calls, paper diaries, and unsuitable software, when they should have been at the bike stand.

“In a sector where every booking counts, this inefficiency directly translates into lost revenue, missed opportunities, and unnecessary stress.”
