Gear Up: Join bikebook as a Support Mechanic for the London to Brighton Bike Ride

At bikebook, we are thrilled to announce that we are returning as a key partner to provide essential mechanical support throughout the route. But to make this year’s ride the smoothest one yet, we need you.

Why We’re Looking for You

From the rolling hills of Surrey to the legendary (and leg-burning) climb of Ditchling Beacon, the London to Brighton route is a true test of endurance. For many riders, a snapped chain or a stubborn puncture can be the difference between a finisher’s medal and a "did not finish."

That’s where bikebook mechanics come in. We are looking for skilled, passionate bike mechanics to join our support team. Your mission? To keep the wheels turning and the spirits high.

What’s in it for You?

  • Be Part of the Action: Experience the electric atmosphere of the UK’s most famous charity bike ride from the front lines.
  • Community Impact: Help thousands of riders—from beginners to seasoned pros—reach the finish line for incredible causes.
  • Networking: Connect with the bikebook team and fellow mechanics in the industry.
  • The Vibe: There’s nothing quite like the cheers at Madeira Drive in Brighton. You’ll be the hero behind the scenes making it happen.

The Role: What to Expect

Our mechanics aren’t just sitting at the finish line. You’ll be stationed at various rest stops along the 55-mile route or roaming to assist riders in need. Common tasks include:

  • Quick-fix puncture repairs and tube replacements.
  • Gear indexing and chain adjustments.
  • Brake safety checks.
  • Providing a friendly word of encouragement to tired riders!

How to Apply

Are you a professional mechanic, a workshop owner, or a highly skilled enthusiast with the right tools and knowledge? We want to hear from you!
